Under the hood, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It boots performance and capability with two optional engines; a 2.0L four-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain with 375 hp and 470 lb-ft and a 5.7-liter V8 that produces 357 hp and 390 lb-ft. All the engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard for V6, while four-wheel drive is standard for the two optional powertrains. In addition, it takes off-road performance to another level on the top-level models featuring all-terrain tires, electronic rear limited-slip differential, and adaptive air suspension with selectable ride height settings. Front two hooks, hill ascent and descent control, and a front-facing camera are available. In addition, the SUV has standard rear parking sensors with automatic braking, forward collision mitigation, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
